When you think about a wedding, what are the first things you think about? Most likely your thoughts would quickly wander to food and.. CAKE! Wedding cakes are on almost every couple’s menu. Large cakes, small cakes, stacked cakes, decorated cakes, gluten-free cakes, elaborate cakes, simple cakes. You name it. And if it’s not an artisanal cake then it is at least some other sweet treat – from seasonal pies to gluten-free cakes, cookies, and treats.
Dessert is simply a ‘must’ at a wedding or any other celebration. At Maison May we do not ignore this fact. Indeed, quite the opposite is the case – we embrace it. But of course, we also know that in this day and age cake doesn’t equal cake. That’s why our celebration and wedding cake menu contains only artisanal, house-made cakes, including gluten-free and seasonal choices.
What they all have in common is that they are always simple, elegant and made from scratch using only the best ingredients. We also know that there’s a fine line between sweet and too sweet. Our desserts are not meant to weigh you down and leave you sick but finish and round out a meal just like a good glass of wine is supposed to elevate a meal and not give you a headache.

Of course, we want our artisanal cakes to be a reflection of the couple’s or host’s personality and style. However, in order to achieve that, we do not use fondant, food coloring or any other artificial ingredients but what nature itself has to offer – fresh flowers, herbs and greenery.
Our celebration and wedding cake menu covers many classic flavor pairings from chocolate bourbon to lavender almond. Almost all of them available in gluten-free options because we don’t believe that gluten-free cakes need to be different.
For the few among us who simply do not like cake, we offer a range of seasonal tarts and pies incorporating market fruits; cookies; and morning pastries that all look and taste just as great. Because if there’s one time to “let them eat cake” it’s a celebration.
